The two actresses turned on the style in gowns by Elie Saab and Naeem Khan at the screening in the German capital
Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale went head-to-head in the style stakes last night, as they hit the red carpet in Berlin for the German premiere of Total Recall.
Jessica dazzled in a bejewelled halter neck gown with sheer layers and an open back by Elie Saab – her second gown by the Lebanese designer on the Total Recall promotional tour. The US star accessorised with a velvet Fendi clutch, Ferragamo heels and a spattering of Lorraine Schwartz jewels. To give the dress’ neckline maximum impact, Jessica swept her long hair up into a chic bun and kept her fringe blunt.
Kate, meanwhile, went for a contrasting look in an ivory swirl-patterned gown from Naeem Khan’s autumn/winter 2012 collection, which she teamed with platform Christian Louboutin heels and jewellery by Neil Lane.
While the two female stars naturally stole the show last night in their glamorous gowns, a whole host of other cast members joined them on the red carpet to promote the upcoming sci-fi remake. Male lead Colin Farrell looked smart in a classic grey suit, and Total Recall director Len Wiseman opted for slate blue version as he posed for pictures alongside wife Kate Beckinsale before making their way to the screening.
Earlier on in the day, the cast attended a photocall on the rooftop of the Adlon Hotel. This time round Jessica opted for a summery look in a water-colour printed dress by Christian Cota and powder blue heels by Brian Atwood for a pop of block colour, while Kate chose a purple Zac Posen number and blue heels too, by Christian Louboutin.
