It’s always one of our favourite dates on the annual fashion calendar – and now the nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2014 have been revealed.

It’s always one of our favourite dates on the annual fashion calendar – and now the nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2014 have been revealed.

Alexander McQueen and JW Anderson lead the pack this year with two nominations each, while Christopher Kane has the chance to hold on to the Womenswear Designer Of The Year title for the second year on the trot.

The emerging designers category is looking strong, as Marques'Almeida and 1205 are up against Thomas Tait, who already snatched the LVMH prize earlier on in the year.

Elsewhere Victoria Beckham, who opened her first stand alone store on Mount Street last month, goes head to head with Stella McCartney for Brand Of The Year, while Cara Delevingne and BFF Jourdan Dunn are pitted against each other in the best model category.

With so much British talent involved, the competition will, as ever, be a close one to call – we’ll have to wait until the ceremony at the London Coliseum on 1st December to find out who wins.
