It's all about Malene Oddershede Bach - the latest talented designer to wow as part of our Lenor Fresh Talent series.
THIS IS A MARIE CLAIRE ADVERTORIAL
Developing her skills at distinctive label Preen, Danish-born designer Malene Oddershede Bach is now a talent in her own right.
Raised on a farm in Denmark, Malene never considered fashion as a career, until she moved to London. Following a stint at Preen, she developed an interest in shape and texture which inspired her designs, and she was hand picked in 2011 as One To Watch. Recently showing her fourth collection to a rapturous audience at London Fashion Week is just one indication of the bright future in front of her.
Modern, yet refined, her clothes blend the care and attention of traditional London tailors with the pioneering freedom of our capital’s creative youth, confirming Malene as a true fashion visionary.
As part of the Lenor Fresh Talent showcase, Malene has designed a wistful dress inspired by the Summer Breeze fragrance from Lenor’s range of fabric softeners. ‘I imagine it being worn on a beach with gusts of air catching the skirt and making it float, creating billowing movement.’

For me, this illustration embodies the romance of Lenor’s Summer Breeze.
I love these dolls. My Mum bought them from Denmark when I was a child.
My cupboards are full of different bits and pieces. It’s a tradition in my family to receive a crockery set from your mother.
My Sewing Kit
From textiles to different types of fabric, scissors and other pattern-cutting tools, I am fascinated with everything that goes into making clothes.
I surround myself with antiques like this telephone and globe. Travel was an important creative element in my Lenor dress design.
My friend Nicholé Velásquez (develasquez.com) turned these photographs into postcards. They are a constant inspiration.
