Beyonce’s new look in her latest video is decidedly ‘Gaga’ – no doubt inspired by the Lady herself appearing in it
It's a match made in pop heaven. Singing sensations Beyonce and Lady Gaga have joined mighty forces to collaborate for B's latest single, Video Phone.
But it seems that the lovably bizarre Lady Gaga might have had something of an influence over Beyonce's sartorial selections in the new vid.
At certain points, a barely recognisable Ms Knowles is seen sporting eye masks, figure-hugging Perspex basques, miniscule sequin hotpants and even a structured black and white bikini.
It's definitely a departure from the norm for the megastar, who has undoubtedly been inspired by her new pop pal.
Lady Gaga was called in to take the Video Phone track - which features on Beyonce's I Am... Sasha Fierce album - and create a remix in the way that only she could.
In return, Beyonce asked her to appear in the video - and naturally, she jumped at the chance.
But it seems that the inspiration went both ways, as La Ga also shows off some serious Bey-style bootie shaking.
‘When I was doing the video with her, she called me and she said ‘What do you want to do?'' Gaga said in a recent radio interview.
‘And I'm like, ‘I don't want to show up in some frickin' hair bow and be fashion Gaga in your video.' I said, ‘I want to do you.'
‘So the whole time I was learning the choreography, they were calling me Gee-yonce,' she added.
