The opening of Topshop's Fifth Avenue store saw a slightly odd mix of celebrities (some A-list, some not so much) rubbing shoulders in New York last night.

Topshop boss Sir Philip Green threw the glittering bash to celebrate the opening of the NYC flagship and seemed to have invited ALL his celebrity pals.

At one end of the spectrum you had Beyoncé, Cara Delevingne, Poppy Delevingne, Naomi Campbell, Hailee Steinfeld and Jourdan Dunn, and the other, slightly less glamorous, end saw celebrity blogger Perez Hilton as well as socialites Nicky and Paris Hilton.

The stars and their hangers on were treated to performances by Jessie J and Lionel Richie at the soiree held at Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal.

The show was of course well and truly stolen by the appearance of Beyoncé who just hours after being crowned music's highest-earning woman (she earnt $115 million last year) dazzled in a sequined LBD worth £68. It's still available at Topshop.com, FYI.

Last week the superstar singer announced that she had teamed up with Topshop to launch a new joint venture business and fashion range. Proving how excited she is about her new project, Mrs Carter cosied up to her new partner, Philip Green, during the party.
