Tom Cruise shuts down London as he films new movie in Trafalgar Square

Tom Cruise transformed the capital into a ghost town as he filmed scenes for All You Need Is Kill

Tom Cruise is so famous he could bring an entire capital city to standstill and that he appeared to do this weekend in London. Although it was simply so he could continue filming All You Need Is Kill in Trafalgar Square.

SURI CRUISE AND TOM CRUISE REUNITE IN LONDON

Aerial shots show the famous London landmark looking like a set from a post-apocalyptic film. It was an eerie view as the usually bustling traffic was absent and there wasn’t a single person, or pigeon in sight.

That was of course until Tom appeared in military uniform and jumped out of a helicopter on to the set.

The actor plays Lieutenant Colonel who battles a group of aliens called the Mimics who want to take over the planet. To help him in his mission he’s joined by Emily Blunt who plays fellow fighter Rita Vratask.

KATIE HOLMES TEACHES SURI CRUISE TO RIDE A BIKE

It’s not been all work and no play for Tom though, he spent Thanksgiving with his youngest daughter, Suri. Determined to be reunited with her, the action star flew her to London from New York so they could celebrate together.

But it was lights, camera and action come Saturday as the cast got to back to filming.
