The trailer for Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's new film, Serena looks set to win them both plenty of awards
If you haven't heard of Serena yet - now is the time to take notice. Our favourite on-screen pairing of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper (we think we might wish they were together in real life), have reunited in this dark adaptation of the book of the same name.
Set in North Carolina in the depression era, the story follows newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton as they try to keep their timber empire afloat. But all is not as it seems and the film twists and turns as Serena struggles to deal with the revelations of George's dark past and her own increasing unhappiness at her inability to have children. Jennifer is seriously likeable as Serena, kicking the logger's into shape to prove herself as an equal to men, even hunting rattlesnakes and saving someone's life in the wilderness. Plus, Bradley Cooper looks hot in a variety of tweed suits, and always worth looking at for a couple of hours on screen.
Serena was actually shot in 2012 and this delayed release has taken it out of the running for the Oscars, but check out the newly-released trailer to see both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence acting their hearts out in the tense drama - surely worthy of some accolades during awards season. Watch the trailer below and be prepared to be totally lovestruck by this talented duo - don't you wish a man would ride up to you on a horse and say, 'I came to say hello. I think we should be married.'? Swoon.
Serena is released 24th October.
