Seal accused Heidi Klum of cheating on him with the family bodyguard - but then retracted his statement hours later

They were once one of Hollywood's strongest couples, but relations between Seal and estranged wife Heidi Klum are becoming increasingly strained.

In a recent interview Seal accused Heidi of cheating on him with the family bodyguard, but his aides have now attempted to clear up his controversial comments.

HEIDI KLUM SPOTTED COSYING UP TO BODYGUARD

Having been asked by Tmz.com to comment on pictures of Heidi and the former couple's four children holidaying in Sardinia with Klum's rumoured new beau and bodyguard of four years, Martin Kristen, he said: 'You know that's what happens when two people separate. They move on and that generally means other people in their lives.

'I certainly don't expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always my main priority is the emotional wellbeing of our children.

'To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I'd much rather it was a familiar face. I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that... Whilst I didn't expect any better from him, I would have thought Heidi would have shown a little bit more class... before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were. But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months.'

But now the singer's representatives have attempted to clear up his damning comments, telling US Weekly: 'Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married.

'These guys (paparazzi) bombarded him and were in his face. He was exhausted, which is why he wants to clarify what he said... He doesn't like now being made into the bad guy here.'

Heidi and Seal, who have four children together, split in January after seven years together.
