Since announcing her surprise separation from husband Seal last week, Heidi Klum has remained distinctly silent on the subject. Until now.

The supermodel has used Twitter to thank fans for their 'kind words' during the breakdown of her seven-year marriage to singer Seal.

Letting her actions speak for her, Heidi has been spotted over the last few days still wearing her wedding ring, as has husband Seal, who has been persevering with promotional duties for his tour.

Appearing on Piers Morgan Tonight post-split, where he gave an emotional interview, Seal explained why he still wears his wedding band: 'What this means to me and what this stands for - it stands for respect, it stands for loyalty, it stands for incredible memories and it stands for these four little miracles and Heidi making five that have come into my life over the past eight years.'

'There was some malicious thing about me still wearing my wedding ring for show but I'm still wearing my wedding ring because I am still married to this incredible woman.'
