Christina has been cast in upcoming movie, How To Catch A Monster, that’s written by Ryan Gosling and will see him perform his directorial debut. Speaking to Flare magazine, the actress recalls her worries over taking on the project.

Christina said: ‘[Ryan] called me and asked me if I was interested in doing this film and I said: “One, of course, yes, and two, why me? And three, I don't want to disappoint you.”’

It appears unlikely she will, after all Ryan and Christina starred opposite each other in Drive so already are aware of what long days on set together can be like. Lucky her!

But that hasn’t stopped the nerves creeping in as she added: ‘It's the largest role I've ever had, so this is one I’m definitely aware of my anxiety about.’

Christina went on to talk about how collaborative Ryan can be, ‘He's [Ryan] been fantastic,’ she adds. ‘Involving me artistically and letting me be along the road of casting and costume design. I've seen story boards and imagery and I've heard music.’

If Ryan’s directing is anywhere as impressive as his looks then it’ll be an Oscar winning film!
