Ryan Gosling reveals he recently signed up to take ballet classes and what made him quit

Ryan Gosling may have picked predominantly macho roles recently, but that doesn’t make him exempt from wanting to explore the distinctly more feminine world of ballet – tutus et al!

The A-lister revealed to Heat magazine that following the announcement he was taking a break from acting, he decided to try out a new hobby. Although instead of the more stereotypical activities you’d associate with a star of Ryan’s caliber he signed up to dance classes.

Ryan Gosling said: 'I used to [go to ballet classes], but I was terrible. Plus, people started filming me with their phones, and I was like “I don’t think I can go to this class anymore. I think ballet was done with me though!”’

And that wasn’t the only humiliation, he confessed that the classes were mainly full of seven-year-old girls who, rather sweetly, tried to help him.

Jokingly, Ryan said they would say to him: ‘You’re old, you’re not good, I’ve seen you in movies and it’s weird that you’re here.”

Even if Ryan claims his ballet dancing is ‘terrible’ we’d still pay good money to see him pirouette in tights!
