Robert Pattinson was planning to propose to Kristen Stewart in the weeks before her affair with Rupert Saunders was revealed, it has been reported.
Heartbroken Robert Pattinson was apparently set to pop the question to his cheating girlfriend over the summer and had hoped that their £5m house would become their martial home.

Speaking to the Mirror a source said: 'Robert hoped to marry Kristen and was making preparations to spring a proposal before she admitted cheating.'
The source continued: 'He had bought the house in Los Angeles to be their home and saw them staying there for a long time.'

When the sensational story broke, Kristen surprised everyone by releasing a grovelling public apology in which she said: 'I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused.
'This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.'
While devestated R-Patz is said to have cut off contact with Kristen and abandoned their mansion, sources say he wants to talk with Sanders man-to-man. Uh-oh.

'Kristen has already betrayed his trust by cheating, so he can't be sure that she will tell him exactly what went on between her and Rupert. Rupert has a wife and a family to save, so Rob feels like he has nothing left to lose and would be honest with him,' reports Radar.
'Rob really was blindsided by this and he's going through the typical stages of being cheated on.'
'He was hurt and heartbroken, then angry and p****d off, and now he just wants answers. He feels like he needs to know exactly what happened, how far it went and how many times, so he can figure out if this is something he can move past.
