Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart could be about to take the plunge, according to reports

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been spotted ring shopping at Neil Lane jewellers in West Hollywood, escalating rumours the Twilight couple are about to become engaged.

Shoppers at the store said that Kristen Stewart was eyeing up different coloured diamonds as she and Robert Pattinson perused the bling rings on offer.

The relationship between Rob and Kristen is said to have gathered speed in the last year with a friend saying: ‘In the past year, they’ve really heated up – moving in together, travelling together, introducing each other to friends.

'She loves Rob, and she’s finally ready - an engagement is a logical next step.'

If and when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do get hitched there's a good chance we'll never know about it. The Twilight actress, 22, has previously said that she will keep her marriage her closely guarded secret.

'I guarantee whenever I get married or have a baby, everyone is going to want to know my kid’s name and I’m not going to say it for ages,' she said.

'That’s just the way I want to do it. It’ll come out but it won’t have come from me. They’re going to be really p***ed off.'

Kristen added: 'It’s just one of those things. I’m selfish. I like to keep whatever is mine remaining that way. It’s a funny little game to play and it’s a slippery slope. I always say to myself I’m never going to give anything away because there’s never any point or benefit for me.'
