Movie bosses are desperate for the British beauty to star with her beau in the next action flick, according to reports
Movie bosses are desperate to sign British beauty Rachel Weisz up to star opposite Daniel Craig in the brand new Bond movie, according to reports, but are worried her romance with the star could get in the way.
And just weeks later, the Hollywood pair were spotted cosying up during a romantic stroll through the Dorset countryside, on Christmas Eve.
But it seems their blossoming romance has not been seen as such a blessing by movie execs, who are desperate to sign Rachel up for the 23rd Bond movie, to play a secretive spy.
‘Casting Rachel was going to be a surprise twist as everyone would assume she’d be a Bond girl when really she would play a villain,’ one insider told the Sun.
‘But the fly in the ointment is that they are now dating.’
The film was finally given the go-ahead in January – after being delayed for nine months – when MGM confirmed James Bond would return.
Last year, the latest in the series of famous films was put on hold as the studio braved a cash crisis, and some feared it would be canned for good, after MGM was forced to file for bankruptcy protection.
But now a spokesman has confirmed now the film will go full steam ahead, with some suggesting pre-production is already under way.
And with financing finally in place, Bond is definitely going to be back with a bang.
‘This is going to be the biggest of all Daniel Craig’s films,’ the source added.
