Fancy working for the Queen, living at Buckingham Palace and (possibly) bumping into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the regular?

Well the monarch is currently hiring, so it's time to update your CV.

The Royal Household website is advertising for a Housekeeping Assistant to work (and live) in Buckingham Palace, and offers a 'competitive salary plus benefits'. You'll be working five days a week and are expected to work 'as a team to achieve exceptional results.' You're also encouraged to 'gain new skills' and 'deliver extraordinary service in incredible surroundings.'

The description reads: 'This is a career pathway in hospitality that will develop your housekeeping skills and expertise. Joining our professional team, you'll upkeep, clean and care for a wide range of interiors and items, ensuring they're presented to their very best.

'Learning from your colleagues, you'll gain the specialist professional skills needed, always aiming for the highest standards. And you’ll take care of guests and work front-of-house to support functions and events too.

'In an environment where development and training is commonplace, you’ll be able to grow your skills.'

In order to make it through to the interview stages, you'll ideally have previous housekeeping or hospitality experience, but the palace is 'more interested in your proactive approach and ability to tackle new challenges.' You'll take pride in your work, aim for the highest standards and work as part of a team. You'll also be well organised with good management skills, able to meet deadlines and work efficiently.

The role is based in London or Windsor Castle and will also involve travelling to other Royal residences.

You'll be entitled to 33 days holiday, inclusive of Bank Holidays and the option to live-in.

The deadline is 15th September 2019 so if you want the job, you'd better apply ASAP.
