Princess Eugenie looked delighted as she attended her graduation ceremony yesterday, after achieving a 2:1 in her degree
Princess Eugenie looked positively delighted as she donned a gown and mortar board to attend her graduation ceremony at Newcastle University yesterday.
The proud princess, who worked her way to an impressive 2:1 in English Literature and History of Art, joined fellow students in the audience, before taking to the stage.
The beaming royal was cheered on by dad Prince Andrew and sister Princess Beatrice at the ceremony, although her mum Sarah Ferguson was notable absent.
After the event, Eugenie spoke of her ‘amazing’ university experience, revealing she loved living with in a house with her new friends.
‘Being up in Newcastle is just amazing. I had so much fun,’ she gushed.
‘Being in a house with seven girls was my highlight because you’d come back and there was always someone cooking, someone to welcome you.
‘That was amazing just being in a house with all these wonderful people.’
According to a royal sources the 22-year-old princess is keen to join the queue of job-hunting fellow graduates and work in the art world – instead of becoming a full time royal like her cousin-in-law, Kate Middleton.
And yesterday, she said: ‘I’m a freshly finished student so my future plans are coming together as we speak.’
Last week one insider told how the princess has already been inundated with job offers, revealing: ‘Art is (Princess Eugenie’s) love and she plans to look around and get as much experience in different fields before deciding which route to go down,’ said one.
‘She already has people keen to speak to her not least because of her results, which were very good indeed.’
Excellent work, Eugenie!
