It's estimated the Duke of Cambridge, who is marking his birthday with a 'low-key' celebration in Anglesey this evening, was left a a trust fund of close to £20 million by his late mother, who died in 1997.

It was specified that the money, together with items including jewellery, stocks and shares and other belongings, would be split equally between Prince William and Prince Harry, on reaching the age of 30.

Today it's thought Prince William will get to take control of his half of the share, while Prince Harry will have to wait until his 30th birthday, in 2014.

According to insiders, William's wife Kate Middleton has organised a 'low-key' birthday dinner at their North Wales home.

It's thought Prince Harry, Pippa Middleton and a few of William's close school friends have been invited.

Happy Birthday, Prince William!
