Pippa Middleton’s book sales fall flat in both Britain and America

Pippa Middleton’s debut book has failed to set the book charts alight sitting at 177th on Amazon’s list

Pippa Middleton’s entertaining guide, Celebrate, had expected to take the publishing world by storm but unfortunately it’s been a slow burner as sales have fallen flat. The book is currently 177th place on the Amazon best-selling book list.

And things don’t fair any better across the pond, despite Pippa having a huge fan club in America and embarking on a busy publicity run, the hard-back book is at number 303 in the book charts.

There had been high hopes for Pippa’s writing debut, aftre she secured a staggering £400,000 advance from the book’s publisher, Penguin.

However, it sold just 2,000 copies in its first week – a disappointing figure in publishing speak.

Despite a discounted cover price reduced from £25 to £12.50, Celebrate has failed to climb its way to the top of the charts.

Critics slammed the book, most mocking what they believe to be obvious tips from Pippa. But, in the wake of the sales figures, Kate Middleton’s sister has reacted to the publicity with dignity and behaved perfectly.

She was seen leaving Japanese restaurant Roka on Friday evening as well as Mayfair member’s club Loulou’s the previous week at 3am and showed the same grace as her older sister, ignoring the press intrusion and smiling through it.
