Pippa Middleton ignores plummeting book sales to launch Dutch edition in a £450 dress

Pippa Middleton pulled out all the stops in purple to plug her tome, Celebrate, in Holland

Pippa Middleton remains undeterred by sliding sales of her book, Celebrate in the UK and last night she embarked on a new promotional run as she launched the entertaining guide in Holland.

For her Dutch debut Pippa stunned in a silk purple dress from Beulah London customised from their spring/summer collection adding on long sleeves. The royal relative continued the purple theme wearing the shade on her nails and a light plum colour on her lips.

She finished things off with suede pumps in the same hue but followed her sister, Kate Middleton’s lead with a half up hair do, gentle fringe and a wide smile.

Before posing for photos, Pippa met with booksellers at an intimate Christmas drinks party in Amsterdam followed by an evening out in the city.

The Dutch launch comes in the wake of less than impressive sales of the book, with some retailers forced to slash the price by 75 per cent. WHSmith are currently running an offer on Pippa’s book that sees the price reduced to £6.25 from the original price of £25.

It’s hoped book sales will gain momentum ahead of Christmas and that the European market will also heavily inflate the publisher, Penguin’s profits.
