The pair enjoyed some mother-daughter time at New York toy haven FAO Schwartz on Fifth Avenue

Adorable mother-daughter duo Victoria Beckham and baby Harper enjoyed a girls day out in New York yesterday, hitting the shops on the city's iconic Fifth Avenue.

But while Mrs B's tiny tot has enjoyed trips to a host designer stores in her first five months, yesterday there was a different kind of shopping on Harper's agenda: toys.

Victoria treated her little one to a trip to famous New York toy store FAO Schwarz on Fifth Avenue during the afternoon.

The doting mum even made sure they were at the store for their daily story time session, Tweeting to fans: 'Having so much fun in New York! Storytime at FAO Schwarz'.

After taking in a few fairytales, the fashionista and baby Harper made their way around the shop, with Victoria even stopping to snap a picture of Harper's favourites - a stand of baby dolls.

'Baby Harper loves the baby dolls!!! X vb,' she gushed.

As if we could expect any less from the fashionable pair, Victoria and Harper dressed up for their toy store outing, Mrs B in a navy and orange shift from her S/S collection, and her tot in an adorable grey knitted dress - complete with tiny Chloe tights.

She's clearly developing her mother's love of labels…
