The delighted actress took the call while waiting for Armarni's Spring/Summer couture show to start

Ecstatic rising starlet Jessica Chastain earned herself a standing ovation at the Armani couture show yesterday, after discovering she had bagged an Oscar nomination.

The actress took the call as she sat in the front row at the designer's spring/summer show in Paris, beaming as she was told she had been nominated for Best Supporting Actress at this year's prestigious Academy Awards.

Even though nominations were read out across the ocean, by 2011 nominee Jennifer Lawrence in LA, Jessica received the news within minutes, taking the phone call during the show.

And despite interrupting procedings, the actress was soon forgiven - and even clapped by the fashion pack as she relayed the exciting announcement.

The lucky actress was watching proceedings from a front row seat at the show, next to Cameron Diaz and Livia Firth - wife of last year's Best Actor winner Colin - who both promptly congratulated her on the brillant news.

Smiling coyly, the actress looked as though she was struggling to take it all, but giggled and laughed as she chatted to well wishers.

We wonder if she'll be wearing Armani at the Oscars next month...
