This is the first child for the pregnant actress - who announced her baby news, and engagement to dancer Benjamin Millipied over Christmas.
And according to Life & Style magazine the excited pair have already been told Natalie’s expecting a boy, and shared the news with family and friends.
‘They’ve only told a very small group of family members and friends that they’re expecting a son,' one insider revealed.
'They are so excited. Benjamin cannot wait to be a father.'
Earlier this week, the parents-to-be were spotted enjoying a cosy lunch with friends - including Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky – in New York.
'Natalie had a big smile on her face,' one eyewitness revealed. 'She looked amazing.'
The ‘very pregnant’ actress was unable to attend London’s BAFTA awards on Sunday where she picked up the award for Best Actress - due to her growing bump - but director Darren collected the prize on her behalf.
'She shared her heart and soul and spirit with me and the world,' he said in a speech.
