Move over, Nick Grimshaw, Harry Styles has a new BFF in town. After hanging out with the Radio One presenter, Harry has reportedly struck up another, slightly strange, bromance - this time with footballer Rio Ferdinand.

According to reports, Rio went to watch Harry's 1D show in Manchester, not just one, but two evenings running, even keeping his restaurant open until 2am so he could treat the singer to dinner after his Saturday night show.

The next day, the thoughtful footballer arranged VIP tickets for Harry to watch him play with team Manchester United in a match against Reading at their stadium.

During the weekend, the unlikely pair flaunted their new friendship on Twitter, keeping in contact over the social networking site.

As Rio watched the One Direction gig, he Tweeted: 'Just at the 1Direction concert....ear drums are struggling...never heard so much screaming!! Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!! Lads on fire!'.

Afterwards, Harry wrote: 'Hope you enjoyed the show tonight rioferdy5.'.

The next day, Mr Styles posted a picture of himself in Rio's Manchester United shirt, with the caption: 'Made it just in time for kick off.'
