Meghan Markle's tenuous relationship with her family has been widely reported. Her estranged sister Samantha has slammed Meghan in the press countless times - she issued a stark warning to the Duchess about seeing Anne Boleyn in the ‘tower’, criticised her for ‘excluding’ their father from her life, and made snide remarks about Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

Following a recent documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan revealed she 'isn't doing okay' and Samantha claimed in an interview that she 'got what she wanted'.

The Duchess of Sussex's brother, Thomas Markle Jr, has also spoken to the media about his sister, most recently claiming that she only joined the royal family thanks to her father.

Now Meghan's uncle, Mike Markle, has decided to share his thoughts on his niece.

He told DailyMail.com that he isn't expecting to hear from her in the future and that he is upset with how she has 'treated her family'.

'I doubt I'll hear from her again… even though I would like to,' he told the website.

'I don't understand her, the way she's treated her family. I'm not very fond of it.'

It isn't the first time that Mike has spoken about his relationship with Meghan. In an interview around the time of her wedding to Harry, he revealed that despite suffering from Parkinson's Disease other health complications he 'absolutely' would have travelled to the royal wedding had he been invited.

He said: 'I've done more for her than others… I've probably done more for her than most have. I personally talked to the ambassador in Argentina for her. I thought I would [get an invitation], but anyhow, I didn't hear from her.'

Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, was not present at the royal wedding in 2018 either due to health complications and she was instead walked down the aisle by Prince Charles.
