Girls Aloud have returned with a musical bang and their new song is on track to be a huge hit

Girls Aloud’s first single in three years, Something New, has been eagerly anticipated by pop lovers and Cheryl Cole fans alike and now the wait is over. The song’s audio has been released, although the official music video is yet to come.

The track, Something New, is up-tempo and heavily features Cheryl’s vocals, although this is mixed up with rapping and lines from all of the girls.

The lyrics are in Girls Aloud’s signature style – somewhat empowering – including: ‘we girls gonna take control’ and ‘we’re the leaders of the pack.’

Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh are on key with the current trend for dance music with their new song.
