  • Lily Cole has added another feather to her multi-tasking cap as the presenter of new show Art Matters

Lily Cole has added another feather to her multi-tasking cap (she’s already scored a double first from Cambridge and modelled on all the top international catwalks) as the presenter of new show Art Matters.

According to Digital Spy, the model, actress (she’s appeared on Doctor Who and in big-screen films including St. Trinian’s, Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and has a role in upcoming vampire flick, The Moth Diaries) and Cambridge grad in History of Art has landed her newest role: TV presenter.

Cole will be putting her famed looks and art history background to use as the presenter of new six-part Sky Arts series Art Matters, which will profile the world’s top contemporary artists, including Dame Paula Rego, Gabriel Orozco, Christo and Tacita Dean, whom Cole will be meeting with and watching in action.

According to Sky Arts director James Hunt: ‘We are delighted to welcome Lily Cole to Sky Arts with this new and innovative programme.

‘We are confident that this series will offer our customers what we believe is a very different and unique opportunity to get up close and personal to some of the most intriguing, controversial and ground-breaking contemporary artists.

While we’re excited to see the red-maned beauty take on the biggest players on the global art scene, we’re also feeling a teensy bit jealous that there’s seemingly no end to the model’s talents.

Between her modelling career – from age 14 – spanning campaigns for brands from Chanel to M&S, her eco-clothing business, The North Circular, her acting credits, stellar academic credentials and now this new challenge, Cole’s list of accomplishments is impressive for anyone, let alone a woman who’s only the ripe young age of 23. What next – restoring world peace? We wouldn’t put it past her…
