Well, that's a twist we weren't expecting
Kristen Stewart is almost-definitely dating 30-year-old French singer Soko (real name Stéphanie Sokolinski). All signs indicate they are extremely attracted to one another. Pictures of the couple holding hands, pashing on Parisian pavements, collecting takeaway food and doing lots of other melty-romantic things that people in love do have been circulating for weeks and they will give you all the feels.
There’s even a snap of Soko sucking Kristen’s thumb in a car park, which might make you shrink with discomfort. Or it might make you want to be swept up in the sort of passionate affair that would provoke you to take your lover’s thumb in your mouth in public (#relationshipgoals.)
Whatever your thoughts on the above, the bottom line is pretty clear: these two are our new favourite couple crush.
And now an intriguing twist in this union has emerged. US Weekly reports that Soko once went on a date with Kristen’s ex, Robert Pattinson.
An interview from March 2015 with A Music Blog, Yea? has just resurfaced in which Soko reveals that being set up with RPatz was one of the first things that happened to her when she moved to LA:
“Three nights in, I went out and met a girl who was like, ‘Hey, I like your music, I work for a label and we would love to sign you. Where are you staying, do you need a place to stay?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah I do.' That same night I had a blind date with Robert Pattinson!”
We really want to know if Soko and Kristen have had a conversation about this, or whether it’s something they've made an made an unspoken, mutual agreement to ignore, entirely, forever.
Soko also recently spoke to W magazine about her sex life:
“Sex for so long was such a taboo thing. You couldn’t be free with your sexuality and say that you like it. But it’s one of the biggest joys of life. If you find one partner who you love having sex with, it’s the best! This new generation is a lot more liquid with sexuality and it’s really refreshing.”
Soko also confirmed during the W interview that she is currently coupled up: “I’m very, very, very in love and very happy in a relationship.”
The world is taking this as confirmation that Soko is besotted with Kristen and their relationship is getting serious.
