Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their first child, according to the rapper, who announced the news last night

Kim Kardashian is pregnant, according to her rapper beau Kanye West, who announced the couple's baby news at a gig in Atlantic City last night.

As Kim Kadashian watched from a packed audience during Kanye's performance, the rapper asked assistants to 'stop the music,' before telling fans: 'make noise for my baby mama right here.'

He added the news is 'the most amazing thing'.

Just minutes after Kanye reveled Kim's pregnancy news, the Kardashian clan took to Twitter to express their excitement, with Kim's sister Khloe writing: 'Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!,' and Kourtney adding: 'Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!'

And this morning, a spokesman for the pair has confirmed Kim Kardashian is pregnant. It's not yet known exactly when Kim and Kanye's new addition will arrive, although reports suggest the couple will welcome their first child late next summer.

Kim and Kanye first fuelled romance rumours back in April this year, when they were spotted out and about on a string of romantic New York dates.

At the time, People magazine quoted an insider as saying: 'Kim and Kanye have now just started dating,' but the couple are only testing the waters to 'see where it goes.'
