Keira Knightley showed just why she's the queen of the red carpet at the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit premiere in London last night, as she stepped out in an elegant LBD.
The 28-year-old actress hit Leicester Square with her co-star Chris Pine and the movie's director Kenneth Branagh wearing a low-key, but nonetheless stunning, Proenza Schouler shift.
Hitting just below-the-knee, the dress boasted a front split and subtle peplum. And with a gently rolled neck, and buttons down the back, this is one LBD that our wardrobes are crying out for.
The Anna Karenina star topped off her look with a pair of cute black pumps with miniature bows, a pair of silver star-shaped earrings and a slick of coral lipstick. And Keira kept the January chill out in the most stylish way possible – with a beautiful Gucci overcoat.
Keira's new movie follows the story of Jack Ryan, a young covert CIA analyst, who uncovers a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack.
Speaking about her role in the thriller at a London press conference, Keira said she was tired of playing the 'tragic heroine' and welcomed the challenge of a new genre.
'I think when I finished doing Anna Karenina I realised that I'd been playing characters that pretty much died or something horrendous happened to them for about the last five years and I fancied doing something fun,' reported The Mirror.
She added: 'I've never done a thriller before, and it's been a genre that I've really liked. It's a difficult one because you combine action with proper storytelling and it needs a proper storyteller to do it, so I was excited by the challenge.'
We're definitely excited to see Keira doing something new.
