Katie Holmes looked happy and relaxed as she went make-up free to hit the set of new movie Mania Days in New York yesterday afternoon.
Dressed in a denim shirt dress and flip-flop flats, the actress was unusually smiley as arrived to get down to work.

With her hair loose around her shoulders and a pair of sunnies firmly in place, the barefaced beauty chatted to co-star Luke Kirby as they prepared to film scenes.
The flick, which is being directed by Spike Lee, is being shot just blocks away where Katie Holmes used to live with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
In the film Katie plays a manic depressive poet who falls pregnant by an erratic rapper after the two meet in a psychiatric hospital - and the pair begin a romance that 'brings out all of the beauty and horror of their condition.'
Wow.
Mania Days is expected to hit cinemas next year.
