Friend of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Adam Shankman says couple are happier since divorce

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are apparently 'incredibly happy' now they're divorced.

Their mutual friend, Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman, has spoken out to say that the pair are more than fine following their shock split last summer.

He told UsMagazine.com: 'They are incredibly happy. I've just been emailing with him (Cruise). He's coming back. He's shooting (All You Need Is Kill) in London and seems as happy as a clam. I know he sees his daughter.

'Katie seems really happy. You just fight through all the noise. And it's noisy!'

Under the terms of their divorce, Suri lives with mother Katie in New York, but spends time regularly with her father.

'She spent five days with him,' a source told E! News. 'He has been working quite long hours on the set, but he was able to have some time off to be with her. They had a really lovely time.'

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise split in July last year after five years of marriage.
