Katie Holmes beams on Dead Accounts opening night

Katie Holmes couldn’t contain her smiles on the first night of her Broadway show

Katie Homes grinned rather gorgeously last night for the opening night of her Broadway comedy, Dead Accounts.

After what appeared to be a successful show, the actress received her obligatory bouquet and took a bow, but her smile said so much more – she appeared thrilled with her performance.

And it wasn’t just her on-stage antics that brought a (semi) permanent smile to her face. After stepping out of her costume of jeans and a simple vest and cardigan, she glamed up beautifully for the show’s after-party

Katie wore a long sleeved scribble print dress complete with floral elements fighting off the chill with black tights. Her hair was worn long and loose with large curls tumbling over her shoulders. To pull the look together Katie added a woven yellow clutch.

Supporting her on the night were Twilight star Maggie Grace and Brooke Shields who also worked the red carpet. Earlier in the evening as she made her way to the theatre Katie was less chirpy, perhaps hinting at first night nerves as she smiled gingerly for the cameras covering up in a pillar-box red mac.

In the wake of her split from Tom Cruise, all eyes have been on Katie and how she was coping, but it appears the answer is amazing well if her smiles are anything to go by!
