Model and actress Kate Upton has officially announced she is expecting her first child with husband and baseball player, Justin Verlander.
The Instagram post shows the model posing on a balcony in Florida wearing a stunning red suit and white Celine sunglasses. Nothing unusual about that, right? Well, it wouldn’t look like an announcement at all if it weren’t for the caption: #PregnantinMiami
The star then tagged her husband and added a sunburst and red heart emoji for good measure.
Kate Upton was also photographed at the Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue’s first open casting call at W South Beach wearing the same outfit and showing off her glowing skin.
Amongst the many congratulations comments from excited fans, Verlander re-posted the photo captioning it:
‘You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.’
Following their wedding in November 2017, Verlander told PEOPLE last March: ‘Married life’s been great, I married my best friend, and we do everything we can to spend as much time together as possible.’
He then continued: ‘Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. It’s been a lovely first year of marriage.’
The couple first went public in early 2014 and, in 2016, Verlander proposed with a custom-designed engagement ring by jeweller Anita Ko.
