Kate Middleton takes a shine to these patriotic presents in time for Prince George's first Christmas. Cue some seriously cute childrenswear...

Kate Middleton’s preparations for Prince George’s first Christmas have taken a turn for the completely adorable, as she stocked up on cute knitwear for her little one.

Said to have been spotted shopping at one of her favourite children’s stores in Chelsea, London chain Trotters, the Duchess of Cambridge reportedly handpicked some patriotic jumpers for her first son.

Kate reportedly took a liking to two patriotic designs, one with a Union Jack flag and another with three Buckingham Palace guards.

‘Kate thought they were great fun to give George,’ a royal insider told The Mirror. ‘He’ll be king one day so the flag is very appropriate.’

Showing her humour with the adorable gifts, the navy ‘George’ jumper was named after the 5-month-old Prince, who will be celebrating his first ever Christmas next week. Aww!

Apparently Kate spent a total of £95.97 at the King’s Road store, which included a hand-knitted soldier to match one of the sweaters. Too. Cute.
