Kate Middleton and the royal bump were given a sweet gift during their trip on the underground

Kate Middleton is accustomed to receiving bouquets of flowers and teddy bears when on official duty, so when she visited the underground for the 150th year anniversary today, the staff got creative with their gift.

To pay homage to the growing bump, Kate Middleton was given a special ‘baby on board’ badge by Howard Collins London Underground chief operating officer. Clearly delighted with the new accessory, the Duchess of Cambridge grinned as she held it up to her Malene Birger coat as she stood on the platform.

She also spoke to the Duke of Edinburgh about it who seemed equally as enthused by the new gift as did other guests who laughed. Clearly keen to show she loved it Kate said: ‘I’ll make sure I wear it at home.’

Howard Collins told The Mirror that Kate Middleton had seen it before but wasn’t quite sure what to do with it, he revealed: ‘Kate asked me “How do they work?” and I said they're fantastic, they really do make a difference - saves men the embarrassment of having to guess if a woman is pregnant.’

Although as one of the most famous pregnant women in the world we doubt Kate will have that problem!
