Kate Hudson gets caught up in paparazzi mob waiting for Tom Cruise and Suri

Kate Hudson must have wondered why she was suddenly getting so much attention!

Kate Hudson found herself in the middle of a paparazzi scrum in New York City yesterday, although the group of photographers weren't waiting for her but for Tom Cruise and Suri Cruise, who just happened to be staying in the same hotel.

Kate must have been a little bit shocked by the mob of flashing paparazzi outside her hotel but it would have all become clear when she realised they were eagerly waiting to get a snap of Tom and six-year-old Suri together for the first time since Katie Holmes filed for divorce in June.

Kate, 33, stepped out in New York, looking very summery in a red dress, pink shades and nude heels, with her tresses tied up in a bun, while her Muse frontman fiance, Matt Bellamy, opted for a more casual look in a grey t-shirt and black jeans.

The Almost Famous actress and the Muse singer were staying at the hotel after spending a few weeks relaxing on holiday in Greece and the South of France.
