Tom Cruise reunited with Suri Cruise after Katie Holmes split

Tom Cruise and Suri Cruise spent the day in New York yesterday - their first since Tom and Katie split earlier this month

Tom Cruise was reunited with Suri Cruise in New York yesterday, for the first time since his split from Katie Holmes last month.

According to reports, Tomfinished work on his on his upcoming action movie Oblivion on Monday, and got straight on a plane to see his daughter, flying over night to New York and touching down in the city yesterday.

And the pair wasted no time in enjoying a day out.

Tom and Suri, who nestled in her father's arms clutching a cuddly toy, were seen emerging from the Greenwich Hotel with a burly bodyguard in tow, before heading off to Chelsea Piers.

Tom and Katie announced their split last month, reaching a divorce settlement just 11 days later.

Although Tom and Katie have declined to reveal the terms of the settlement, it's thought Suri Cruise will reside in New York with Katie Holmes, but make weekly visits to Tom Cruise, accompanied by her nanny and bodyguards.

Since the split, Katie Holmes and little Suri have been out and about almost every day, hitting the shops, visiting the zoo, and even stopping off at a pet store - where Suri had her eye on a particularly cute pooch!

The pair also hit the headlines after being involved in a minor car accident, where police reported no one was hurt.
