A-Rod's reaction to the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck dating speculation is confusing

Jennifer Lopez is one of the most talked-about women in the world, making viral news for everything from her stunning performance at President Joe Biden's Inauguration to being responsible for the invention of Google Image search.

The most recent J.Lo news has of course surrounded her split from A-Rod, and now reported reunion with Ben Affleck.

Yes, really.

There is speculation that 'Bennifer' could be back on - what a throwback.

'Bennifer' - Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez - were one of the golden couples of the early noughties.

After meeting on the set of their film, Gigli, in 2002, their relationship rocketed and Ben and Jen went from a budding romance to a high profile engagement in just two years, publicly calling off their wedding in 2004.

In the news that no one expected this year however, the pair appeared to reunite, with the former couple seen hanging out.

'They have been in touch here and there throughout the years,' a source told E! News. 'Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It's natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other's company right now.'

'They have a good time when they're hanging out and things have been easy, fun and exciting between them,' a source reportedly told Entertainment Tonight. 'They've stayed in touch over the years, so the two of them reconnecting isn't a huge surprise to their friends. Ben is protective over J.Lo and they're trying to be as low key as possible.'

It wasn't the speculation that got the world talking this week however but instead A-Rod's reaction to it. In a video posted by Page Six, A-Rod can be seen to be asked what he thinks of the Bennifer news.

His response? 'Go Yankees.'

OK.

According to sources however, there's a lot going on behind closed doors, with a source 'close to J.Lo' telling E! News: 'A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.'

We don't know what to think.
