The acting duo arrived separately to the event despite dining together recently
Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult clearly like to keep us guessing as they put an end to recent reports they’d rekindled their romance by attending the Met Ball separately. Both stars walked the red carpet solo and were careful not to be photographed together.

This move comes just weeks after Jennifer Lawrence was seen leaving a LA restaurant with her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, despite their attempts to go incognito and leave via the venue’s back door they were still seen together.
Things played out rather differently at Monday night’s Met Ball though with neither star showing any hint of being back together as they attended alone. With a busy celebrity-soaked red carpet their failure to cross paths may well have been deliberately planned.
Although Nicholas Hoult did miss out on seeing Jennifer’s incredible look that paid homage to her Dior commitments as she stole the style show in a black prom dress from the luxury brand with spiked Brian Atwood heels and a Jennifer Behr headpiece.

The couple, who met on the set of X-Men: First Class, split in January after two years together but it was hoped by many that they would give things another go, especially because filming for the franchise’s next installment is to begin shortly.
