It seems we weren't the only ones who were a tad surprised to hear of the blossoming romance between Geri Halliwell and Russell Brand. Fellow Spice Girl Mel C has admitted she was equally as baffled to learn of their new relationship.
Sporty Spice revealed she had absolutely no idea the two were getting together, telling radio station Magic: ‘I don’t know, I know they get on really well.'
‘I am sure they are just friends. I’ll have to quiz her on that one,’ she said, before joking that 40-year-old Halliwell was a ‘cheeky little minx’.
The unlikely couple hit it off while rehearsing for the Olympics closing ceremony and have been spotted out on dates around London since. Yesterday the singer certainly looked like she had a spring in her step while out shopping in the capital...
