Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton had themselves a Spice Girls reunion for two ahead of the London Olympics
The news that the Spice Girls are to perform at the Olympics was music to our ears here at Marie Claire, and it looks as though Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are just as excited as us, judging by the meeting they had in London yesterday.
The former Ginger Spice and Baby Spice hooked up in the capital ahead of the Olympics opening ceremony, which is just days away. The girls looked in great spirits – and colour coordinated in green – as they hugged, laughed and headed into their appointment.
It’s great to see at least two-fifths of the Spice Girls feeling the love, amid the rumours that Victoria Beckham has only agreed to perform at the London 2012 Games on the condition that it’s the last time the group will ever be reunited on stage.
A spokesperson for VB has yet to confirm that the Spice Girls will perform but was quick to add that Mrs Beckham is in no way embarassed by her past.
They told MailOnline: ‘The Spice Girls have received some amazing invitations to perform over the last few years, however personal family and professional reasons mean this has not been possible. The Olympics is one more amazing opportunity but no announcement has been made or confirmation given, so this is nothing more than speculation at this time.’
