Tensions rise between band members as Victoria Beckham reluctantly agrees to one final Spice Girls performance

So, the good news is the Spice Girls are set to perfom at the London 2012 Olympics this summer, but the bad news is that Victoria Beckham has only agreed to do so on the provision the band will never perform again. Like, ever.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and as Victoria Beckham awkwardly posed for snaps alongside her band members at the Viva Forever! Spice Girls musical launch last month, it was pretty obvious she felt uncomfortable.

VICTORIA BECKHAM LANDS IN UK FOR SPICE GIRLS REUNION

A source told MailOnline that Geri Halliwell said: ‘After the Olympics I can't imagine even talking to her again, let alone being on a stage with her. Mel B, was right, she has lost the spirit of the band.’

It's also reported that fiesty Geri told friends: ‘None of us can understand why she won't take advantage of these opportunities. Now is the time to be together again as a band and she and Mel B can't be in the same room together.’

Talking about the possible Olympics gig, Geri added: ‘After the stunt she pulled at the Viva Forever! press conference she said she will never preform with us again and then with David not being chosen for the GB football team, she didn't even want to discuss it.’

SPICE GIRLS BEST MOMENTS EVER

A spokesperson for Victoria, meanwhile, told MailOnline: ‘The Spice Girls have received some amazing invitations to perform over the last few years, however personal family and professional reasons mean this has not been possible. The Olympics is one more amazing opportunity but no announcement has been made or confirmation given, so this is nothing more than speculation at this time.’

PICS: THE SPICE GIRLS REUNITE IN LONDON

Recently the critically-acclaimed designer said she was happy to reunite for a one-off concert, telling John Murray's radio show: 'I’m so respectful of my past and I love the other girls. We have some fantastic fans.

'Who knows, maybe some day we’ll do something else with the Spice Girls. I would love nothing more.'
