From Kylie Minogue’s Pearly Queen get up to Jessie J’s thigh split dress and Cheryl Cole’s fishtail frock, we look at the best star style from last night’s Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace.
Kylie Minogue wasn’t afraid of showing some skin in the presence of Her Majesty at the Diamond Jubilee concert.
The 44-year-old singer strutted her stuff in a black leather jacket lined with outsized pearl buttons and matching hotpants and hat.
The modern-day Pearly Queen looked red hot – but it turned out she might have been feeling it too. After performing a couple of her classics under the strong stage lights, Kylie had to strip off her thick leather jacket – fortunately her leather bodice underneath looked just as glam!
The Voice UK coach Jessie J performed her hit single ‘Domino’ in a Spring 2012 gown by her favourite designers, Falguni and Shane Peacock. The gold, red, silver and royal blue gown was adorned with blue feathers and had a thigh-high slit to the left.
Grace Jones stole the spotlight as soon as she emerged in a black and red body and enormous headdress, somehow managing to hula-hoop whilst singing at the same time (really!). The 64-year-old showed off her super-toned legs (putting the rest of us to shame!)
‘There must be an angel’ singer Annie Lennox shimmered in a silver goddess dress by British designer Nicholas Oakwell complete with angel wings that drew whoops of applause from the audience.
Cheryl Cole, who dueted with Sing star Gary Barlow at the Diamond Jubilee concert, wowed the crowds in a black, strapless, fishtail gown by Ewa Minge.
And last but by no means least, the Queen! Long a fan of lemon hues, we think HRH took on the pastels and metallics trend with gusto in her Diamond Jubilee concert get-up. Do you agree?
