David Beckham is more accustomed to winning football matches than celebrity dad polls but that doesn’t make him any less worthy of either accolade according to the British public. The superstar sportsman has just been crowned the celebrity dad men most admire.

In a poll conducted by TVbet.co.uk David Beckham was crowned top fatherly figure although perhaps more surprising was that Prince William, who is about to be a dad for the first time, came in at second place with 18 per cent of voters naming Kate Middleton’s husband.
New dad David Walliams also received a nod sharing joint sixth place with father-of-three, Prime Minister David Cameron. Labour leader, Ed Milliband just made it into the top ten as did Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband Chris Martin who secured the eighth spot.

David Beckham came out on top despite his contract with Paris Saint-Germain often keeping him away from his family although it seems almost every excuse he gets he heads home, often being snapped with little Harper Beckham in his arms.
