We could soon be calling David and Victoria Lord and Lady Beckham...
David Beckham is in line to be a sir, if reports that he is to be named on the Queen's New Year's Honours List are true.
According to the Sun on Sunday, the father-of-four is tipped to receive a knighthood in January for his services to football and charity over the past two decades.
It is thought confirmation will come later this month, once routine checks have been carried out by officials, which include assessing the Beckham family fortune.
If David's name is on the list,it is likely Prince William will carry out the ceremony, having undertaken his first official investiture ceremony when he awarded Andy Murray an OBE last month.
David hung up his boots earlier this year, having cemented his place in football history during his time as England captain and playing for Manchester United.
And while his sporting and charity efforts are well documented, let us not forget his contribution to fashion. Just last week it was announced that David is the new face of British brand Belstaff, and is also collaborating with the label on a capsule collection. Then there's his popular underwear line for H&M, and previous collection for Adidas, too.
