Dannii’s defection comes just days after she announced she would not be appearing on this year’s X Factor show, citing to cited a clash of dates with Aussie show Australia’s Got Talent – where she also sits on the judging panel – as the reason for her departure.
Yesterday, insiders revealed Dannii was ‘fuming’ at having to leave, and feels X Factor bosses ‘forced her off the show,’ after they failed to accommodate her schedule.
And now it seems the songstress is determined to turn her back on ITV, with some suggesting she's close to signing on the dotted line to front a brand new BBC show.
It’s thought the channel are planning to launch a British version of American show The Voice, which sees judges sit with their backs to contestants, and judge them solely on their voice.

Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green have been among the famous faces to judge on the US version of the NBC show, and now it’s rumoured the BBC have decided Dannii would be perfect for a UK part.
‘Bosses really want Dannii, as she was hugely popular on the X Factor and really knows her stuff,’ one insider told the Sun.
'She mentored Matt Cardle to the crown last year and is really good with contestants. She would be great on The Voice.'
'It is a really big hit in the US and we are looking to do our own version for next year,’ another insider added of the singing show.
'But the casting of judges is really important. It is all about getting the right people involved in order to make it work.'
Reps for Miss Minogue have yet to comment on the reports.
