In an interview with Total Film magazine about the steamy film, which sees Pattinson as a womanising rake working his way through the women of Parisian high society, Ricci opened up about her sex scenes with the star.

'Everyone keeps asking me how it is to kiss Robert Pattinson... He's a good kisser. And I'm not being nice,' she said.

'He's always the kind of guy that you can look at and go, "Oh God, this is uncomfortable!"

'And he's really lovely to work with, especially in those kinds of scenes, because he's so quick to laugh at himself - and me! He's very self deprecating, as am I.'

The real-life (and on-screen charmer) doesn't just bed Ricci in the film, so we're keeping our ears pricked for more gossip on Pattinson's bedroom antics from Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas.

The film, based on Guy de Maupassant's novel, is now scheduled to be released March 2, but initially Pattinson himself worried that his womanising character would be unpalatable to audiences.

'We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically a s**t who wins everything at the end it's really difficult to market it - especially with me in it,’ the actor told Total Film last year.

‘Everyone's worried that everyone's going to be thinking, "Oh I want him to be nice, he's got to be nice to all the ladies."'

Frankly, we couldn't be more excited. It's been far too long since Twilight: Breaking Dawn and we could use a little R-Patz in our lives.
