Jane Lynch has confirmed that Cheryl Cole will appear in hit TV show Glee

Cheryl Cole is set to appear in hit TV series Glee, according to Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester.

It's long been rumoured that the singer was scheduled to star in Glee but now Lynch has confirmed that talks are in there final stages.

She told the Daily Star: 'There's been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it's set to happen now.

'Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons. Matthew's chatted to her and she seems keen.'

'Cheryl's the perfect Glee fit, she can sing, she can dance and she looks good. It would be cool if she played herself.'

Morrison was won over by Ms Cole when they starred together in Hollywood rom-com What To Expect When You're Expecting last year, in which Cheryl played a TV talent judge.

Last year, it was reported that Cheryl's song Parachute was going to be covered in the hit show and, although that never happened, it looks like the Geordie is set to have her big Glee moment now.
