Carey Mulligan, Eddie Redmayne and Thandie Newton attend prestigious film industry event hosted by the Queen
Carey Mulligan, Eddie Redmayne and Thandie Newton celebrate the British film industry at glittering reception hosted by the Queen at Windsor Castle.
Brit actors Carey Mulligan and Eddie Redmayne looked particularly pleased to see each other, laughing as they embraced warmly during the star studded event.
The good friends first met in 2009 at the BAFTA’s and were even rumoured to be dating following The Great Gatsby actress’ split from Shia LaBeouf, before she tied the knot with lead singer of Mumford & Sons Marcus Mumford, in April last year.
Over 300 stars of stage, screen and television including Thandie Newton, George Lucas, Minnie Driver and Damien Lewis attended the reception, hosted by the Queen at her royal residence’s lavish state apartments, to celebrate those involved with British films and the supporting creative industries.
But it was the Queen herself who won big, picking up an honorary Bafta at the event in recognition of a lifetime’s support of British film and television – and for being the most ‘memorable Bond girl yet’.
