Oscar-award winner Brie Larson has got engaged to long-term boyfriend musician Alex Greenwald – who is the lead singer of Phantom Planet.

It’s been a big year for twenty-six-year-old Larson, who not only won Best Actress at the Oscars for her performance in Room, but a BAFTA, Critic’s Choice, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards also.

The celebrity engagement rings we can’t help but fall in love with

Greenwald reportedly popped the question in March while the couple were holidaying in Tokyo, but it wasn’t until Larson debuted her rock while hosting Saturday Night Live last weekend that word got out.

26-year-old Larson and 36-year-old Greenwald have been together several years, with Larson recently telling Entertainment Tonight he is ‘just her person’.

In her Oscars acceptance speech she said: ‘Alex Greenwald, I love you’, as the cameras panned round just in time to see him mouthing, ‘I love you too.’ Ahhh.

News on when the wedding might be has yet to be announced, but it will no doubt have to slot around her busy schedule, with her next film, Kong: Skull Island, due for release 2017.
